Perhaps I was a little harsh. I had just read all the bashing and had to vent. I agree with personal choice. I happen to like Goodkind's world. I prefer it to any other SO FAR. If you give them an objective chance and take into consideration that the vile "big boobed dominatrix" was in 1 book and beyond that the women were no longer objects of lust but very strong female leaders , fighters and warriors. In fact I think they are far more important to the story than Richard (protagonist). I am sorry if you miss out on some of the characters that arise in books 6-11. there are some really great moments . There are some comic relief moments that are just great and give you a palette cleanser from all the battle/wizardry/politics. But hey ,your decision. I do hate to hear that Jordan Died owing 2 books. That would suck . I remember thinking What if King died before the finish of Dark Tower. Then the putz almost did. losing an author that transforms a solitary sunday into an adventure in another world with all the fascinating people and creatures that Jordan created (even though I didn't like the WOT ) is a shame and to his faithful followers I am sorry for the loss. what is the coolest about this genre is that somewhere, there is a world that each one of us can feel comfortable in.

Wow!! i see things don't change much once you've been brainwashed by the eccentric writing styles of Tolkien and Jordan who wouldn't know character development if it bit them on their a$$es .Goodkind a hack? Why? you praise Jordan for his work while he is blatantly ripping Tolkien off . They both are guilty of mind numbingly boring works that are nothing more than a study of the lineage of a world that doesn't exist and using Gaelic - esque names that are unpronounceable by the human tounge. Tolkien had one saving grace. someone made his garbage into a watchable series of long winded films. Then you have George R.R Martin. Even his pseudonym is a rip off of Tolkien. His work is interesting until you try to actually read it. isgrimner , if you'd bothered to also add why he kicked in the childs jaw then the readers of this forum would be able to form an informed opinion. she was a snot of a child who abused her authority to have innocent people executed simply to have something to do or just because her captive playmate made her mad. she stuck her tongue out so he kicked her chin and she bit off her tongue . I loved it. Objectivist Ideology ? wow , you throw these words around like they mean anything . He has the right to his "Objectivist Ideology" . It's his f$%@#ing world . He created it so he has the right to whatever Ideology he wants. If you'd paid attention the point of the series is that two distinctly/morally different ideologies are at war for the control of this world. It's probably no use to argue but I had to voice my opinion. So you guys can all return to Middle earth now. Tell Frodo I said hi.
