Producer-director Uwe Boll will bring the video game POSTAL to the big screen. He has optioned the film rights to the game from Running With Scissors, the developer.

Boll hopes to have the $10 to $15 million film in theaters by late 2006 or early 2007.

The filmmaker said, "The film will have all the political incorrectness and American craziness from the game, wrapped around an action-thriller story line."

I heard that he`s already bought the rights to DigDug, and Pong.
I`m sorry, I know that the movie hasn`t come out yet,so its a little early to make judgements, but Uwe Boll, you SUCK! You Suck, Big Time! You are the worst director I have ever come across and from what I`ve read, you`re an even worse person. You are not the Ed Wood of your generation, as I keep hearing. You are a HACK! A Big Sucking HACK! You don`t mind making bad films because apparently, you can write them off due to some stupud tax law in Germany. You, sir, SUCK!!!

Tetris is so unrealistic.

Tetris is not unrealistic. I used to work for an odd shaped boxes moving company and Tetris was almost like our training simulator. Pong is unrealistic! There are no side walls for the ball to bounce off in real life!

I read an interesting article that that claims Boll is basically just a frontman for rich people overseas who want to launder money and get tax breaks by investing in films. The investors don't care if the films make money or not (which when all is said and done with DVD sales, his movies are said to make money for the investors), because the films are tax shelters. Boll gets enough "name" actors (washed up or not - a lot of them have recognition overseas) to make sure the investment will at least break even. If his film breaks even for the investors, they've made money because of the tax breaks. Interesting theory. His movies are pretty pathetic and show absolutely zero craft, and you have to wonder why anyone would give him money to make the horrible films he does. The investment angle seems to make sense.

Uwe Boll is probably one of the worst directors I've ever come across. Taking decent video game franchises and churning out movie crap. Uwe Boll just needs to leave video games alone and just go away.

I just dread the return (and hype thereof) of Gary Coleman who was in the video game. I never get tired of hearing someone mutter "Watchoo talkin' 'bout Willis?" over and over...

I like wessmith's theory... it is the only reasonable way for that guy to keep on making movies. I didn't know what all the hoopla was about on Uwe Boll because I have never seen any of his movies. So I went and rented Alone In The Dark... people, I will never get back that time. I just feel sorry for Christian Slater and Stephen Dorff... Tara Reid not so much. I know an actor has to get paid but come on.

Flame me if you must but I think Bloodrayne will be a guilty pleasure.

And have you seen the cast for Dungeon Siege? Go to IMDB and see for yourselves. I wonder how Uwe got some of those people to sign up?

Billy Zane apparently received $10,000 for one day on Bloodrayne and he was already in the area doing another picture. I guess if I could make 10 grand for a day's work I wouldn't care what the film was or who the director was. As I posted earlier, Boll reportedly gets the cash for his movies from investors and I'm sure a "name" actor like Zane is a draw for them. One site reported Michael Madsen was drunk on set most days and Ben Kingsley just showed up, said his lines and left. Seems like everyone knows what they're getting from a Boll picture going in...a paycheck and lousy direction. That being said, Boll movies are kind of like a guilty please for me too (like post #9) and while they're horrible I'll tune in when they're on Starz or Cinemax.
