A deal has been made that will keep the coming JAMES BOND 20 production from halting mid-production due to a potential actor's Equity strike in the U.K.
The film's producers struck a deal with the union that allows the actors working on the efilm to stay put in spite of a strike.
While talking to the BBC, Equity chief Martin Brown spoke of the agreement, saying, "We are delighted with the deal with Eon (producers of the Bond movies)... Bond movies are a big deal for the British film industry and it would have been a disaster if the movie had not gone ahead.
He added, "They have agreed to pay a percentage of sales of DVD and video worldwide, after 30% of the film's cost has been recouped.
"We've always said we wanted a threshold to protect producers and this deal will give our actor's real money."
Previously, the HARRY POTTER AND THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS production struck a deal similar to Eon's to keep that film up and rolling as well.
