BOND 22 has moved it's release date to November 7, 2008.

Columbia Pictures confirmed that the film would move to the new date rather than stay put at the originally planned date of May 2, 2008.

Sony Pictures Entertainment vice chairman Jeff Blake said the studio, along with partners MGM and British production company EON Prods., are in talks to bring on a new director after Roger Michell left the project.

Time will tell who that director will be.

They can push this back until they bring back Pierce!!!

That sounds right. Not sure how I would feel about it though. I am a huge Bond fan, and to see one of my favorite characters morphed into the direction an actor wanted it to go may not sit well. The Bond franchise has had its ups and downs, and the Pierce movies were definately ups, but people will always go to Bond films, regardless is Casino Royale sux.

He didnt jett he got fired!! One word for the Bond producers.. Lazenby!! They brought Connery back after one. Moore was more of a Cartoon bond , Dalton never got a chance. Pierce had a couple left in him but the studio wanted to go younger. They could of given Pierce a good swan song then got Chistian Bale!! He may still get it one day. I just dont like Daniel Craigs past work .

I can't judge Daniel Craig as Bond 'til I see the movie. I don't understand why they picked him if they wanted to go younger. He looks older than Pierce, though he may be biologically younger. Whatever, I like a good Bond flick regardless of who's playing Bond. Sometimes, for me, it's not Bond that makes a good Bond film. It's the villian.

You can't claim that Pierce left the movie becuase he wanted to go a new direction that the studio didn't want. Then complain about the new Bond who is going in a completly new direction for the movies. Obviouslet the studio wanted to do something different. Craig is going to be the Bond that Flemming wrote.

Good, November it is then.

I really liked Pierce as Bond too, but I felt like his Bonds were wayyyyy tooo Comercial. Seemed like they had to much product placement. For me, just seeing the trailer for Royale gets me hyped. I love bond movies, corny or good, Ill watch them, specially when Spike TV runs some of them on a marathon...just bring back 006, Sean Bean was a bad MOFO..........

NOTE TO IDIOTS, BROSNAN NEVER LEFT THE BOND ROLE, HE WAS FIRED, THEY RANG HIM AT OME IN LA, AND TOLD HIM WAS DONE AS BOND, APPARENTLY HE WAS VER UPSET. THIS SHOULD BE A TOTAL LOAD OF SHIT, THERE HASN'T BEEN A DECENT BOND MOVIE SINCE LIVING DAYLIGHTS.

yes and to retaliate, Brosnan went and filmed After the Sunset and Madator to prove to them he still had it. Brosnan's plan for Bond was to film as many as Connery (7?) and then KILL JAMES BOND once and for ever. No studio is ever going to kill the cash cow (look at Freddy and Jason!!) thats an extremely stupid move to kill James Bond, so the studio released him from his contract. Plain and simple.

seeing Judi Dench as M was a shock in Goldeneye the first time, but she really grew on me. Robert Brown is dead, died in 03. Bernard Lee died in 81, his last Bond outting was Moonraker. At least the studio is being consistent, and always keeping the current actor playing M and Q, they have never been fired or 'replaced' by another actor while they were still alive.
