Creative differences have stalled negotiations with Roger Michell (Notting Hill, Changing Lanes) who was in talks to direct BOND 22. The negotiations have now fallen through and the film is once again searching for a director.

Why is Martin Campbell staying away from this? That worries me.

I guess the only thing keeping them from announcing release dates for Bond 23, 24, 25, etc... is that they don't know who will own the studios at those points.

Well, I've checked my calendar and it looks like I'm available.

I say bring back Tamahori, he had a new era Bond feel to his direction on Die Another Day. Plus with a new Bond obviously going more the action type, this combo could work. Bay would also be an exceptional choice, maybe even the director of Goldeneye, dont remember who that was though.

I love Bond movies...keep 'em coming. Even the bad ones are enjoyable to point. I doubt Casino Royale will bankrupt the studio, so I guess then can already greenlight Bond 22. If Casino blows, Bond 22 will be Craig's last appearance as 007.

I think they are seriously dropping the ball on a huge promotional opp. They should release a 007 film in 2007. There is sooo much they could with marketing end. Collectible merchandise, events, the possibilities would be endless. A new Bond for a new millineum. Just shows how truly out of touch the Bond producers are. I bet Tarrentino's Bond would've been just what was needed. Not some Jason Bourne-esque rip off.

why don't they wait to see how royale with cheese does at the box office first

Tamahori's too busy resisting his penchant for dressing up like women and soliciting sex from men. Or something like that.

No way was Die Another Day the worst! Maybe The World is Not Enough, or maybe Licence to Kill, but Another Day that's just silly.
