September 11th, Fox Home Entertainment will release “Bones” Season Two.  The program is inspired by real-life anthropologist and author Kathy Reichs. The series exhumes forensic evidence from the decayed remains of deep-rooted homicides, while investigating clues from the living witnesses and suspects to unearth the truth.

The show stars David Boreanaz (“Angel,” “Buffy The Vampire Slayer”) as an ambitious FBI agent and Emily Deschanel (Glory Road, Cold Mountain) as his unlikely partner, a fiery and feisty young forensic anthropologist. Combining “odd couple” humor and sexual tension with the disturbing realities of true crime, the undeniable chemistry of the clashing investigative styles is presented in its entirety on the six-disc Bones”Season Two DVD collection, including all 21 episodes from the series’ second season, as well audio commentaries, featurettes, deleted scenes, gag reels and more.   “Bones” will be available to own for the suggested retail price of $59.98.

I just wish Boreanaz would realize he'd do better work if her returned for Angel Season 6 than this derivative and boring stuff. The female partner's hot, though.

Is this news or an advertisement?

Didn't watch the first season, but got into the show during season two and it became one of my favorites. Boranez and Deschanel have great chemistry and the supporting cast is excellent, too. I like the writing and I like how storylines are continued from week to week.

I was there at the start due to Boreanaz, but I stuck around for the rest of the very excellent cast. I'm not a fan of CSI-type shows, or cop or FBI shows - but the cast and the characters in this one keep me coming back and stomaching the forensic crap. Muldfeld, while David Boreanaz may (in interviews) say that he's moved on and has no personal interest in returning to Angel - it wasn't his decision for the show to end, and he is not the reason no more Buffy/Angel media has happened since. For that, look to the WB, UPN and Fox. Or, if you are REALLY upset, look to Whedon for not doing something straight to video or some such to just make sure more got made (thought there are probably legal issues holding up any further stuff as well.) To fill your Buffy / Angel needs, read the Buffy comic (official Season 8) and watch for the Angel comic that should be coming out (official Season 6.)

Agreed. It's the characters and the actors playing them that really make this show. And it's really what the ahow is about. The mystery of the week often takes a back seat or sets character moments into motion. I never thought of it as a procedural in the same since as CSI or Law & Order. I mean how many proceduals get Stephen Fry in a recurring role. Everyone should at least see the episodes with him in as Bones' and Booth's shrink.

Sweet! I got hooked after Season One!

You're right, Merin, that responsibility lies foremost with the idiotic WB, which also cancelled Buffy after an amazing 5th season. However, once that decision was made, Boreanaz took the opportunity to exit the franchise unless it was gonna be a movie or something big. That's probably what's holding up the decision to do future TV movies. The WB itself not wanting to spend all that money without him. It's the only way to continue the story, and I really wish they'd had a chance to. Whedon has so little pull. He can't even get Wonderwoman to work. And I don't wanna read comic books. I wanna see all the cast return, including more of Lorne, for a 6th season that never was. And Bones just doesn't compare to Angel. No offense to Bones fans.

This and House are about the charters. House would suck without the charters, and sucked at times with the charters because nothing changes. Bones is the same way. Without the charters on both shows it would be CSI and ER.
