You hit on partially why I never gravitated to Image. I tried a few of their books but nothing pulled me in. The art just wasn't enough on it's own for me. By the time Witchblade came about I had made up my mind not to buy anymore of their books.<BR itxtvisited="1" /><BR itxtvisited="1" />The book does seem a little steep but I guess for someone aspiring to get into that line of work may be worth it. Maybe I'll pick it up second hand sometime down the line.

Same here, Wise. It was about that time that I jumped from the Crisis of Infinite X-Titles. Image was not much more than a bunch of pretty pictures for me, so I made my way toward the likes of Dark Horse and Vertigo.

I was first introduced to Silvestri in Uncanny X-men years ago and thought his work was the shit but when he did jump over to image I tried a few of the cyberforce issues but it just goes to show good artist don't make great story tellers. Maybe he got better by the time Witchblade came out but by that time I had given up on comics as a whole. Your comment about "jumping the shark" was right on and I've never gone back to comics since.
