Alchemize, Boom! Studios and Intel today announced the creation of Sherree's Secret©, a 20-page graphic novel designed to promote Intel® Viiv technology for entertainment PCs. This bold step makes Intel one of a handful of major corporations to collaborate with well-known talent in the graphic novel community. Sherree's Secret will make its public debut at the upcoming Cinequest Film Festival (March 1 - 12) in San Jose, California.

Focusing on telling the story of a suburban, American family, Sherree's Secret follows a story line modeled after a television daytime drama. As the tale unfolds, the features and benefits of an Intel® Viiv technology entertainment PC are spotlighted. Intel Viiv technology, which was introduced at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January of this year, is Intel's new brand and computing platform for the latest generation of home entertainment PCs designed to enhance how people enjoy, manage and share digital entertainment in the home.

Web-based service and content providers, such as MovieLink and Napster, and consumer video software maker Pinnacle Systems, are also featured throughout Sherree's Sercret with advertisement inserts. Each one-page insert describes how their products work great with an Intel Viiv technology-based entertainment PC through the use of mouse or remote control driven menu screens designed for display on large home entertainment screens.

An impressive creative team was assembled to collaborate on Sherree's Secret. The original concept came from Emmy Award winner Jim Pascoe, and was written by Autumn Udell and Marshall Dillon . The cover art was created by Eisner Award-winning 100 Bullets artist Dave Johnson. The interior artwork was contributed by Casefiles: Sam and Twitch artist Greg Scott and Athena Voltaire creator Steve Bryant, and Imaginary Friends Studios provided the colors.

"Intel has constantly put itself on the edge of innovation, and they're continuing that trend with this crossover into sequential art," added Autumn Udell, President of Alchemize. "The success of graphic novels and comic book publishing is really turning heads, and I'm thrilled that Alchemize played a central role with our custom comics. We've put together an edgy, smart team to deliver a great creative product, and I knew we had something special from the start!"

"We're reeling!" Boom! publisher Ross Richie raved. "We just received the "Best New Publisher" award from Wizard magazine and got an incredibly favorable write-up in the 1-10-06 "Class of 2005" article in Publisher's Weekly, and now we've been able to work with the world's largest computer chip maker. Who isn't familiar with Intel? They have one of the world's greatest brands. It's a great time for Boom! I couldn't be more excited or more proud."

"Intel Viiv Technology ushers in a new world of digital entertainment PCs that combines the best of consumer electronics with all the fun the web has to offer," said Elizabeth Lin, consumer campaign manager at Intel. "With the explosive worldwide growth in the popularity of graphic novels we decided to use this medium to build a consumer outreach campaign. Sherree's Secret is the result of some real out-of-the-box thinking that has yeilded a strong vehicle to explain the benefits of Intel Viiv technology-based entertainment PCs to a wide demographic."
