With the WGA strike finally over, studios have been a bit more talkative about their future plans and in some cases, making extensive changes to their 2009 line up. In a latest feature piece over at Variety, the trade broke down plans for Universal Pictures and some possible issues for them now that director Guillermo del Toro may have two Hobbit productions to contend with for New Line & MGM.

The studio gave him a first-look deal, picked up a sequel to "Hellboy" with a budget of more than $80 million, and even bought the rights to his dream project, the H.P. Lovecraft epic, "At the Mountains of Madness." But U brass was stunned to suddenly see Del Toro emerge as the likely director of the next two "Hobbit" movies for New Line and MGM. That would lock him down for four straight years in New Zealand.

Langley acknowledges, "We're in discussions with how to rectify that with Guillermo."

There was also yet more hints that a Bourne 4 film was hitting theaters sometime in the near future and more points about Universal's Mummy franchise splitting it off into a new spin-off franchise. You can check out the full article by clicking here.

Bourne Ultimatum was sweet, they should keep making them until they make a weak one.

I read somewhere Vin Diesel & Paul Walker would be back for a 4th Fast & the Furious. I wonder what the hell that film will be about. They already did drag, laps and drift

I am up for a new Bourne movie,,,,I love the Mummy movies, but I don't know what kind of spin-off they can do, unless they try to pass it to the kid. Fast and Furious 4 could be cool as long as they get a good sctipt. I think they would have to do like formula one or something now.I am all for sequals as long as they dont go the way of Police Academy, Nightmare on Elm st. or Friday the 13th.

Why hasnt anyone remade Faces of Death yet? This would be a great Miley Cyrus starring vehicle.

Of course Damon said he was done with Bourne movies, but I bet he'll make another if they hand him some serious cash. I'd love to see another. As for a Mummy spin-off, wasn't that already done with the Rock's scorpion king movie.
I've never seen any of the fast and furious movies.

I believe Almost that Damon did say back in October that he would be open for another Bourne movie after he did say he was done with the series a month earlier. So if he does it willingly or get extra moolah to do it...and I suspect that he will, and they put out another good outing, Bourne may be end up becoming another Bond-like franchise for years to come.

now only if affleck would stop being a bitch and suit up for daredevil again, before anybody rags on dd make sure you have seen the directors cut first okay there's like another 33 minutes or so and less love story.

I liked the theater version of DD, I actually thought it was a really good super-hero movie. Not as good as some of the top tier, but superior to some. *ahem, FF* I need to see that director's cut.

I felt slighted as a Bourne fan when the first movie came out (where was Carlos the Jackal?) but after time I have come to love that movie and its sequels. I would VERY much like to see another Bourne movie or five.
