British actor Jamie Campbell-Bower (Sweeney Todd, RockNRolla) has been added to the cast of Summit Entertainment's upcoming sequel The Twilight Saga's New Moon. Variety confirms that Bower will play one of the members of the Volturi, an Italy-based coven of vampires. You can check out some photos of Jamie by clicking on the picture above. With this latest addition, the next installment stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Dakota Fanning, Nikki Reed, Chaske Spencer, Bronson Pelletier, Alex Meraz, Kiowa Gordon, Bower and Tyson Houseman. Director Chris Weitz is leading the production behind the camera, based on a screenplay by Melissa Rosenberg.

Plot Summary: The second film in Summit Entertainment's "Twilight" film franchise, based on author Stephenie Meyer's blockbuster book series. In "New Moon," Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) is devastated by the abrupt departure of her vampire love, Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) but her spirit is rekindled by her growing friendship with the irresistible Jacob Black. The film centers on Bella being drawn into the world of werewolves while threatened by the Volturi.

The Twilight Saga's New Moon will hit theaters November 20, 2009.

Uh oh, the "T" word is back on Mania.

Psst, has anyone seen Hanso?

(You just keep laughing your ass off Jarrod, I k now you are.)

Okay, so it's just me and Jarrod.

Okay, so it's just me.

(Jarrod, you traitor.)

Fine...I can be the only Maniac interested in Twilight news. I can form the most exclusive club of all. I'll have more fun with myself than...wait...

...that didn't come out right...

I'll have more fun with myself and my copy of Digital Playground's new release "Nurses."

Yeah, no possible chance of innuendo there.

Gee, this is surprising, a Twilight piece and SLG all ine same page.

This Bower character better be able to pull off an Italian accent or I'm boycotting this. Werewolves alright. Maybe this one will suck a little less than the first, nah I doubt it.

just doing what I can for the cause wiseguy, just doing what I can :)

I hear you, we all got our favorites. Despite disliking Twilight I know I'll be coerced to the theater to see the sequels so I am hoping they get better. To be honest it won't take much arm twisting, werewolves baby.

I just hope that you wiseguy (and the other maniacs) will be as loyal to me should "Sweet Dreams," "Life and Times of Igor," or "Summertime Blues" get snatched up anytime soon.....or later....or at all

I've decided to add my mania profile (and such) to my presentation letters and on the cover pages of the scripts I (may) send out

the link goes to the profile, the new blog I formed (link found on the profile page), and so on

as for the next Twilight movies, I'm going to say now that Bedward.....I mean Edward, and Bella are officially "in wuv" and all that stuff hanso hates will help get the exposition out of the way and the story can hit the ground running

this is just my opinion, as I haven't yet read the other books

StarlightGuard 3/31/2009 5:24:16 PM

as a final thought, hey Jarrod, where do you get the plot synopses from?

do you write them out yourself or do you just find them

I ask this because of the statement listed above about "the irresistible Jacob Black."

I didn't know Jacob was irresistible.

Is Jacob getting friendly with your leg?

howl baby howl

JarrodSarafin 3/31/2009 6:36:50 PM

Haha, we get our plot concepts from the press releases the studio sends out. And yes, even when they say stuff like "irresistible Jacob Black" within them, we pass them along word for word. :)
