After slipping the top 10 last week, 'The Dark Knight' has tumbled another 8 spots and fallen from #13 to #21 in the weekend domestic charts.

The movie, in its twelfth week of release, faced seven new opening films in a weekend that was dominated by 'Beverly Hills Chihuahua'. It grossed about $830k.

On the global front, the movie moved up in the All-Time Worldwide gross spot, to claim the #4 position. With the entire week's receipts across all markets, the film has taken in a grand total of $985.8 million. This was enough to topple 'Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone'. It seems doubtful the movie will be able to reach #3, which is occupied by 'Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest', some $80 million away.

I knew this movie was gonna be big. I think the word I used was EPIC. Great movie. It's no longer showing where I live so I'll have to wait for it rerelease to see it on the big screen. I don't have a blu-ray player but you can bet I'll have one by 12/9;-)

Damn if only TDK hadn't bombed bad in Japan (or was it China?) then it could be #3. But they like their comic films to be all happy & shit so TDK failed over there. Yo Flint, if you thinking about a Blu Ray player look into the PS3. To me that's the best player right now. Not sure if you're a gamer but if your not through the PSNetwork you can rent or buy movies like Itunes is doing, so using the PS3 for just movies still works out pretty good. I think come Christmas time some other Blu Ray players may be cheaper than PS3 but the PS3 can download updated software for Blu Ray, for example from 1.0 to 1.1 etc. I'm not sure other Blu Ray players can do that. Anyway, look into that when narrowing your Blu Ray choices. You don't want to end up with a player that can't update it's software. Definitely get TDK on Blu if you get the chance. I saw Iron Man on Blu this week and I liked it more than watching at the movies. The HD looked beautiful.

Nice lookin' out Hanso, you're the 3rd person in two days who's told me PS3 when it comes to Blu-Ray. I've looked into it and I really think it's the way to go. I had no idea all it was capable of. What's wrong Wise?;-)

My reaction is mixed after seeing this movie. To be honest, I did enjoy Heath Ledger's memorable perfomrance as the Joker. He's so funny and entertaining. I am relieved the last scene with the Joker ended a good way. This version of Two-Face is more believable because I can see him as this tragic and very disturbed former District Attorney. I really don't understand why the villans are killed especially after falling down. That's dosen't sound too original. I saw like the same thing in almost every Batman movie. It was a dissapointment at the very end. In my opinion,it's better than Batman Begins. Not matter what the final results maybe, my reaction will still be mixed.
