
After 11 weeks in release 'The Dark Knight' has finally exited the top 10 weekend box office charts with a grand total of $524 million under its utility belt.
The film slipped four places in the face of four new opening movies, going from #9 to #13. The new openers included 'Eagle Eye' and 'Nights in Rodanthe' in the top two, 'Fireproof' at #4 and 'Miracle at St. Anna' as the #9 film.
The Batman movie's weekend take was $1.65 million bringing its worldwide gross to about $973.6 million. The film is less than $3 million away from reaching the #4 spot on the all-time worldwide charts.
