
'The Dark Knight' topped the $400 million mark on Monday. The Batman flick took in another $6.2 million, according to figures published by Box Office Mojo, nudging its total domestic gross just over the milestone.
At 18 days in theaters, it's the fastest any movie has reached $400 million. The next closest contender was 'Shrek 2' which did it in 43 days.
The film is now the eighth higest grossing film of all time, in regards to domestic box office.
It is currently the #2 highest grossing comic book movie of all time, just trailing the original 'Spider-Man'. However, it should be #1 before Friday.
