Box Office Finals: SCREAM 3 Easily Beats THE BEACH.

There were few surprises when the final numbers rolled in for this weekend's box office. Studio estimates proved relatively reliable, and SCREAM 3 easily retained the number one position with $16.32-million dollars, over $1-million ahead of its nearest competition, from the newcomer THE BEACH. Other science fiction, horror, and fantasy films to earn over $1-million this weekend were: THE TIGGER MOVIE ($9.43-million), THE GREEN MILE ($3.09-million), STUART LITTLE ($2.71-million), GALAXY QUEST ($2.18-million), FANTASIA 2000 ($1.69-million), TOY STORY 2 ($1.15-million), and THE SIXTH SENSE ($1.11-million).
