Early weekend estimates published by Box Office Mojo have 'Iron Man' continuing its impressive run at the box office.
As expected the film slipped to the #2 spot, behind the highly-anticipated 'Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian'. Regardless, it still took in another $31 million in its third week in theaters. That number amount to a respectable opening weekend for most movies. The film's domestic gross stands at about $222.5 million.
However, it's more bad news for the other comic-to-film in theaters, 'Speed Racer'. After a weak debut at #3 last week, the movie sputtered some more, dropping to #4 and losing almost 59% of its audience. The expensive anime retread took in only $7.6 millon, bringing its two-week domestic gross to about $24.4 million.
