From the Ausiello Report on TVGuide.com, it's being reported that actor Bruce Boxleitner has cast in "a top-secret recurring role that was originally going to be modeled after Sen. John McCain" on the series HEROES.  The character has since been reconceived though.

The report states Boxleitner will apparently share some scenes with a female series regular.

The actor might be best known for his recurring role on the series SCARECROW AND MRS. KING, in which in co-starred with Sabrina Duncan.  Boxleitner  played Lee Stetson from 1983-1987.  He also starred as Capt. John Sheridan on BABYLON 5 for 88 episodes from 1994-1998.

The actor shared the screen with Jeff Bridges and Cindy Morgan in 1982's TRON.

Hrm.

Pretty good actor from what I remember on the Bab5 days. Probably an evil HRG, but, hey... this might be interesting enough to tune in to season three.

SAAAA-WEEEEET!!! Can't wait for more Heroes, and I love Scarecrow. He was almost if not as cool as The poor mans James Bond, Remington Steele.

I had my doubts about him when he was coming on board B5. While I loved Scarecrow and Mrs. King, his acting was, well ... wooden. But he more than redeemend himself him my eyes with B5. Can't wait to see him on Heroes. Sounds like a good addition.

My initial thought was a resurrected or in flashbacks Arthur Petrelli

But then it says sharing scenes with a female series regular and I don't know if Cristine Rose (Angela Petrelli) is a series regular or recurring. It could mean Hayden Panettiere seeing as she would be Arthur's granddaughter

Whatever it is, next fall can't come soon enough. I miss this show

I like the guy fine, but honestly, I have never understood the appeal of B5...they said it best in the beginning of "MST3K: The Movie" - "Space, the final frontier...these are the voyages of Babylon Five..."

Can't wait for more "Heroes" though. Season 2.5, here we come!

"he actor might be best known for his recurring role on the series SCARECROW AND MRS. KING,"

Is that a joke???? He'll always be best remembered for B5 and Tron. Does anyone even still remember Scarecrow and Mrs King??? That show's a minor footnote in TV history, if anything at all !!!

I never watched Babylon 5, even though my favorite radio disk jockeys had a guest appearance on it (Don and Mike) AND I forgot he was in TRON too. (It's been a LOOOOONG time since I've watched it, and I was like 4)
I totally remember him from Scarecrow and Ms. King. Wasn't Mrs. King Kate Jackson?

Bruce was awesome in Babylon 5. This is interesting news indeed. Can't wait for the fall when I can finally watch some more Heroes. I love that show.

Kate Jackson did play Mrs King. Sabrina Duncan was the name of her character on Charlie's angels.

I just read they also added the girl that played a short term love interest on Friday Night Lights last year, the short blond with the dreads. Supposedly she can move very fast. Sorry, to lazy to look up her name.
