Former-RobinBurt Ward has launched a successful visual effects company and landed thecontract to provide effects for the currently-in-production BulletproofMonk according to a recent write-up in TheHollywood Reporter.
Theless-than-one-year-old company, called Boy Wonder Visual Effects, has providedshots for 11 studio features to date. They'll be providing 250 shots for BulletproofMonk, a contract many effects houses were eager to land.
"I just thought it was time to give Burt more to do; he's got good people with him, and he has the determination and wherewithal to pull it off," MGM senior vp feature postproduction Bruce Markoewas quoted as saying. Markoe had utilized Boy Wonder previously on movies like LegallyBlonde, Hart's War and Windtalkers.
