Actually Nemo did not become an Indian until Verne wrote the sequel, The Mysterious Island, but someone will have already said that...

I think Molina is a VERY good pick!

And Clooney does look kind of like James Mason, specially with a beard...

I personally would love to see the Captain Nemo novel KJ Anderson wrote turned into a movie.

Instead of Pitt, I think someone like Ewan McGregor or even James Franco. Both are good in dramatic and slightly goofy roles and I think both can sing pretty well.

For Nemo, Patrick Stewart would work, and I admit that I considered Liam Neeson as well.
Years ago, I would have insisted on Sean Connery, however, I wonder if either Daniel Craig or Russell Crowe wouldn't do a good job.
Crowe was pretty good in Master and Commander, and if you can get him to turn it down a notch, he makes a pretty good "tortured soul".

Pitt doesn't look Indian.  Maybe that doesn't matter to the average movie goer.  Maybe they will change the back story, maybe he won't be Prince Dakkar.  Maybe Nemo will be a different Nobody.

I was thinking maybe Lost's Naveen Andrews could play Nemo. He's of Indian decent I believe. If they wanted Nemo to be older they could age him a bit with make up.

almostunbiased, that's exactly why you should read what's being reported before commenting on it. You know, because you're assuming something that's not even the case :(
