Brash Entertainment has announced they have raised $400 million to focus exclusively on games developed from movie, TV and music licenses. Brash is backed by Thomas Tull the co-founder of Legendary Pictures (300 and SUPERMAN RETURNS.)

The company is already working on a dozen titles including one based on the SAW franchise and also on 300.  The first releases will hit shelves this December. In addition they have  another 40 games in development.

Mitch Davis and Nicholas Longano, the former heads of in-game advertising company Massive, will serve as CEO and president, respectively.

Davis told Variety, "It's a slightly different risk profile. We may not have the breakout success of (hit original games) 'Gears of War' or 'Halo,' but we have a big ambition to produce high-quality, commercially successful games around licenses."

Brash plans to make games for all the major consoles, handheld and mobile devices.
