After watching Hathaway 'move' around the lasers in Get Smart, oh yeah, she can play Catwoman.  Come on people.

As for Bane, this will be tricky.  From all the comics I read, the stories, Bane is a big man!  An Arnold type of upper body.  A guy the same size as Batman isn't going to work if they want him to 'hurt' Batman.  He has to have some kind of advantage.  AND he is street smart.  He either is being new to Gotham and wants to take Batman on or he is in the Muscle for hire mode and works for Rha.

Hathaway is pretty. No doubt about that. But, I always thought of Catwoman having more of a sultry exotic feel to her. Hathaway seems alittle too all- American.

What is it with directors casting plane Janes in parts that call for something more unique. Dunst as MJ, Hale Berry as Storm, Eva Green as a Bond girl and Kattie Holms/Maggie J. as the type of woman that a billionaire would go for. Very off casting choices to me. Physically at least.

But, I trust Nolan to make a good movie so I'm not too worried.

This I can get behind. I'm pretty stoked to see Batman really have to dish it out physically against the main villain.

I think Hathaway will make for a decent Catwoman.  As for Bane...it could work, but obviously not in the "Knightfall" sense.

Here's what I could possibly see happening: Batman's still on the run from the law, Catwoman has taken to the streets as a cat burglar/Robin Hood-type of outlaw and Bats is attracted to her/conflicted about turning her in (especially since he risks being imprisoned himself, being wanted for murder and all).  Meanwhile, the authorities/the mob/whoever bring in bounty hunter/mercenary Bane to hunt down and capture Batman, but he decides to just flat-out destroy him and make a play for rule over Gotham himself.  All of this leads to Batman being brought to the breaking point physically/mentally/emotionally, but he "rises" to the challenge, defeats Bane clears his name, continues as Batman with new resolve and decides to take socialite Selina Kyle to a charity circus event in town featuring the Flying Graysons and...FIN.

Whatever.  That's the first thing that came to my head when I heard about the villains.  I have faith in Nolan & Co. to churn out another hit film...just tell Bale to tone down the "Batman growl" a little...and maybe throw in a Joker reference for good measure...

Not a big fan of Hathaway, I'm not going to debate her hotness or anything like that, I'm just not into her overall for the part.

Hatheway is an AWESOME choice for a cat burgular! she's slim HOT HOT HOT and can put in any muscle toning needed to kick some ass!

EXCELlent choice, PLUS she's a great actress

Bane is a cool choice for a villain, defiunitely thinking outside the box by Nolan, which is what so many of you scream that you want. Something new not cookie cutter, well Nolan's run on the Batman franchise has been inspired, and I have nothing but faith in his choices.

I alos wouldn't be surprised if he springs another surprise on us besides these two. Hell it says Anne is playing Selina, not Catwoman, there could still be another villain hiding in the wings.

Anne Hathaway as Catwoman, I could see it although Hollywood has a bad history of making this character a joke, but we'll see.

I had too look up who Tom Hardy was and I could see him playing Bane.  I just hope Nolan understands that in the comics Bane was insiteful / smart as well as monsterously strong and not just a big stupid speed-bump (oh the memories of the last time Bane showed up in a Batman movie, YUKK).

Catwoman might as well be horsewoman since they beat that character to death, I love Anne however.  Bane better be used better this time around.

oh yeah and since we had the whole race argument the other day with Thor, I will start one here with Batman , Bane isnt white and he certainly isnt british, He is spanish he was born in Caribbean Republic of Santa Prisca, and is imprisoned at an early age, I hope hardy can work on his spanish accent. lol , Honestly I could care less if he sounds like he's spanish.
