It seems the next horror film to get the remake treatment is Charles Kaufman's 1980 cult film Mother's Day, reports Shock Til You Drop. Ryan Rotten is reporting that Brett Ratner will be producing the project while Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw II-IV, Repo! The Genetic Opera) has been approached to direct the project. Franck Khalfoun (P2) is currently fleshing out the screenplay. No word yet on who's doing distribution for the remake.

Plot Concept: Three women reunite for a camping trip and happen upon the property of two maniacs living with their mother.

The original film is banned from being released in the U.K. due to its violent themes and rape.

And just to give you a glimpse of how trailers were made for these types of cult films, check out the original trailer for Mother's Day below.

Swell. The more officially announced as on his plate the better the chances he ain't really touching God Of War.

Right on my man. Keep em coming Bret, how bout you attach yourself to direct some also though, huh? That'd be really special. More for Bret, less for Kratos! Bauwuahwahahaha!

I never played GOW, is it really that good? It looked like another hack and slash game to me.

It really raised the bar on such games MIKWOZ. You've never hacked and slashed like this. Trust me.

God of War I & II is the embodiment of sheer awesomness in video game form.

There are very few words that ccan come close to describe it and the feelign of playing it but I will give it a shot. GoW is DarkKnightlike! I suggest you stop what you are doing and quickly go and play it.

Gotta third on GoW. Even the story alone is enough to keep you wanting to play. As for this remake, never seen the original. However, that poster for the original is f@ckin creepy. Okay, just watched some of the sneak peek and the mother is creepy as well, lol. I am gonna go check this out

I only watched this movie because they filmed it at my summer camp as a kid. Fairview Lakes in NJ. It was a pretty messed up flick. Being that most people have never seen the movie, I am sure a remake would not be a bad thing.

That is some crazy trailer. I guess that is what those women get for frolicking naked together in a lake in the middle of nowhere. That movie screams anti-lesbian and that`s just wrong, as long as they are hot lesbians.

That ending was great. I wonder if they are going to change that. You guy guys do remember the ending right???
