WORLD WAR Z: Official Featurette

More Footage Revealed

By Robert T. Trate     April 26, 2013
Source: CMBTrailers

Here is the latest featurette on World War Z. The Brad Pitt zombie world domination pic has had some tough times. Will it be worth while? This summer is already packed with some big tent pole pictures. It will be interesting to see if World War Z can survive its negative press and the onslaught of Superhero pictures.

The Plot: United Nations employee Gerry Lane (Brad Pitt) traverses the world in a race against time to stop the Zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments, and threatening to decimate humanity itself.

World War Z is based on the Max Brooks penned book of the same name that tells an Oral History of the Zombie War.  The film stars Brad Pitt, Eric West, Matthew Fox, David Morse, James Badge Dale, Mireille Enos, David Andrews, Elyes Gabel.

World War Z is directed by Marc Forster, and the film is set to be released in theaters on June 21, 2013

I have the book, but I will not read it untill after I have seen this movie.  This movie looks too good to make it a shadow of what I hear is an amazing book.  I will probably crack it the same night that I see the movie.

imagine the fart smell of all those sick people...

@Roqueja - Give it a day after the movie.  I myself can't wait to see the movie but it is a very different story from the book.  If they followed the book it would not be able to go as a 1 film movie.  Would need at least 3 or 4 to tie it all together.

But the book is a fantastic read.

Yeah I read the book and the film is an entirely different monster, from the fast zombies to the point of view. The book is written after the fact and tells different tales as gathered by Pitt's character. In the film it's told as if Pitt is the one investigating the source of the outbreak and figuring out a solution.

So even though the film has bastardized the book I like the look of it and will definitely see it. I love this last trailer playing now.

I was planning on reading the book but read on here (and other sites) that the movie is vastly different. So I will wait till after I see the movie.

With that said Brad Pitt (yep, I'm a name dropper) presented about 10 - 15 minutes of the movie to us at CinemaCon last week and this looked awesome. So I will definately be seeing this opening weekend.

this is gonna be crazy, i love Zombie movies we don't get good Zombie movies that offten so this is cool. Has anyone watched the pilot t.v show for Zombieland ?

jedibanner 4/26/2013 1:03:38 PM

Roqueja, don't wait to read it, the movie has almost anything to do with the book except the name and the word zombies (which once again, fast moving zombies are NOT real zombies).

Damm thezillaman...nice logo....

Thezillaman... I saw the Zombieland pilot and thought it was pretty funny.  I wasn't convinced by all of the casting choices (I liked 'Tallahassee' though) but thought the show was solid enough for a limited run to see how it goes.

Looking forward to World War Z.   Based on the comments I'll have to check out the book.
