BRIDGET JONES has a November date

Sequel in theaters November 19

Universal Pictures is now the worldwide distributor for the forthcoming BRIDGET JONES sequel titled BRIDGET JONES: THE EDGE OF REASON. The film had been financed by both Universal and Miramax Films, and it was expected that Miramax would distribute the film at least domestically, as it did with the first movie. However, since Miramax suddenly became the domestic distribution outlet for Martin Scorsese's THE AVIATOR this fall, the New York-based movie studio didn't have enough room to allow for a proper promotion and release for the comedy. Universal will now set forth THE EDGE OF REASON in theaters on November 19.
