British Film Academy Awards Nominations for Music Announced

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) announced their 2006 award nominations last weekend. The nominees for the Anthony Asquith Award for Achievement in Film Music are Gustavo Santaolalla for Babel, David Arnold for Casino Royale, Henry Krieger for Dreamgirls, John Powell for Happy Feet, and Alexandre Desplat for The Queen.  

The awards will be handed out at the Royal Opera House in London, UK, on February 11.  

Nominated to the best film award are Babel, The Departed, The Last King of Scotland, Little Miss Sunshine, and The Queen.
