Brody tries on THE JACKET

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN leading lady Keira Knightley and THE PIANIST's Adrien Brody have been cast in the film THE JACKET. Sounding like a psychological drama with sci-fi overtones, Brody plays a soldier-turned-murderer who suffers from delusions that he is a time traveller. While at an insane asylum, Brody's character meets Knightley's, where he believes he met her in her past when she was still a child. Sounds like it could be the same sort of fun as Terry Gilliam's 12 MONKEYS.

The film will be directed by John Maybury from a screenplay by Marc Rocco and Massy Tadjedin. Originally Mark Wahlberg (THE ITALIAN JOB) was attached to play the soldier but he dropped out after casting issues slowed down the production.
