Thespians Pierce Brosnan and Nicolas Cage will be joining Roman Polanski's thriller The Ghost. Brosnan will play the Prime Minister in the tale, reports MTV. Cage stars as the ghostwriter. Robert Benmussa and Alain Sarde will produce the film, which is scheduled to begin production in Europe this fall.

Plot Concept: The film, based on Robert Harris' novel of the same name, centers on a ghostwriter who is hired to complete the memoirs of a former British prime minister. He uncovers secrets that put his own life in jeopardy. Most of the story takes place in an oceanfront house during the middle of winter.

Nick Cage is everywhere.....I don't get it, he's had more bombs than the middle east, yet he still gets cast like crazy.....I like him, so it doesn't bother me, but it is curious.

Cage is OK working with a pedophile I guess.

I don't think he's an awful actor, but I just don't think Cage is that good. I will make two exceptions... Moonstruck and Raising Arizona. Of course, how long ago were those?

It's good to know they're still letting this child rapist make movies.

I’ve got one word to explain his constant hiring: “Coppola”.

OK, two words: “Boatloads of cash from the National Treasure franchise”.

I miss the daring Cage from his early career who took on great quirky roles and chewed them up. Haven’t seen anything but formula from him in years.

They always let him make movies, just not in the states.

Of course hanso. Because he'd be arrested! I don't care about that shit, though. I don't know the man personally so it doesn't sway my opinion of his movies. I like most of what he's done. I thought 'The Ninth Gate' was kind of cool. Will wait for a trailer for this one due to the section in the article that states that most of the story takes place in a oceanfront house in the middle of winter ... zzzzzz

So Nic Cage goes from being a Ghost Rider to a ghost writer. Talk about a broad range in roles.

Don't worry, I'll whack myself across the face with a 2 x 4 for that one.

I might actually be curious to see this film if it wasn't directed by a sex offender who refuses to face punishment for his crime.
