BROTHERS GRIMM begins

But it loses a cast member

Screendaily reports that principal photography begins today on BROTHERS GRIMM, the $75 million dollar fantasy/adventure film starring Matt Damon and Heath Ledger. The picture is being directed by Terry Gilliam.

It was believed that Robin Williams would be playing one of the two evil-doers opposing the youthful brothers but it appears Williams has dropped out of the film. A source for Screendaily said Williams has departed the production and that negotiations with Nicole Kidman to film a cameo have also fallen apart.

BROTHERS GRIMM is anticipated for a 2004 release. The film also stars Jonathan Pryce, Peter Stormare and Lena Heady.
