It looks like Jerry Brickheimer is getting serious about moving ahead with the PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN feature film for Disney. According to the HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, Bruckheimer has hired COLLATERAL (not to be confused with COLLATERAL DAMAGE) screenwriter Stuart Beattie to rewrite the existing script by Jay Wolpert (COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO).
No word on a director or stars yet, but according to the paper Disney is keen on shooting the epic this summer.
