Bruce Willis (SIN CITY) is being added to the cast of ALPHA DOG, the drama that's in development at New Line Cinema. Willis will play the father of the main character in the film who will be played by THE GIRL NEXT DOOR's Emile Hirsch. Based on true events, the project was originally molded after the turbulent life of Jesse James Hollywood, a youngster that eventually became one of the youngest men ever to be listed on the FBI's most wanted list. According to the information that's appearing in today's Hollywood Reporter, it appears the script has been rewritten and the name of Hollywood dropped. Reporter now refers to Hirsch's character as Johnny Truelove and refers to the movie story as "inspired by real events."

The film has already attracted a sizeable stable of A-list actors as well as up-and-coming faces including Sharon Stone (CATWOMAN), Kevin Costner (OPEN RANGE), Lukas Haas (MARS ATTACKS), Harry Dean Stanton (THE PLEDGE), Shawn Hatosy (JOHN Q), Vincent Kartheiser (ANGEL), Justin Timberlake (EDISON) and Dominique Swain (LOLITA). Nick Cassavetes (THE NOTEBOOK) is directing from his own script.
