Microsoft has a new squad-based shooter in stores this week for the Xbox.
BRUTE FORCE lets you switch between playing each of the four commandos in your unit including a sniper, scout, trooper or an alien. As you progress through six different worlds each with their own unique enemies, you'll have to come up with new strategies for each assault. You'll have over 30 different kinds of weapons at your fingertips including miniguns, sonic cannons, railguns, sniper rifles and a friendly little item called a bio-rifle. Up to four players can join in the mayhem or, if you've got Xbox Live, up to eight can take part in a game.
The game was designed by Digital Anvil (their first for the Microsoft game console) and they've made some pre-release buzz for their title by showing gamers a taste of the game's sweet graphics. For players who got the most out of
HALO or
UNREAL,
BRUTE FORCE looks to be the next must-have shooter.
BRUTE FORCE retails for $49.99 and has been rated Mature. For additional screenshots, creator interviews and to watch video from the game, check out Microsoft's
BRUTE FORCE website.
