We have a new leading lady to take over as John Connor's wife, Kate Connor, says the Hollywood Reporter. The trade is reporting that Bryce Dallas Howard (The Village, Spider-Man 3) will be taking over the role exited by Charlotte Gainsbourg in Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins after the actress ran into a scheduling conflict with a French comedy. Howard will be joining Christian Bale, Sam Worthington, Anton Yelchin, Bryce Dallas Howard, Moon Bloodgood, Common and Jadagrace. McG is directing the first installment of the new trilogy, based on a screenplay by ohn Brancato and Michael Ferris. Production is already underway in New Mexico.

Plot Summary: In the highly anticipated new installment of "The Terminator" film franchise, set in post-apocalyptic 2018, Christian Bale stars as John Connor, the man fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators. But the future Connor was raised to believe in is altered in part by the appearance of Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), a stranger whose last memory is of being on death row. Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past. As Skynet prepares its final onslaught, Connor and Marcus both embark on an odyssey that takes them into the heart of Skynet's operations, where they uncover the terrible secret behind the possible annihilation of mankind.

I like Bryce, so I'm glad to see her in a major project.
I'm wondering if this trilogy is going to follow T3 where it's stated that a terminator kills J.Connor and if the trilogy is going to go that far into the story.

I don't know why they just don't bring back Claire Danes as Kate....I like Bryce, she should be a good addition....I am pretty stoked for this movie, I can't wait to see a trailer.

"the role exited by Charlotte Gainsbourg in Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins after the actress ran into a scheduling conflict with a French comedy"

Did I read that right? The original actress passed up the possibility to make big money over the course of three movies for a French comedy???? Are the French even mildly amusing????

I am going to reserve any comments on this movie until I see a trailer. I do not think Christian Bale has ever made a wrong choice about a movie, and all of them have been good. However... my expectations for Indy4 went limp because of the ending, so I want to know more before I say anything. Excpet of course that DBH is hot as hell.

Screw the Frogs, what do they know anyway? 'Bunch of cheese eating pussies, with their noses stuck up so far in the air the aliens from Indy4 have to fly around them.

BDH is too adorably cute to be living in the grimy machine filled world Terminator movies.

I'm going by the enthusiasm and passion that the filmmakers are expressing and keeping high hopes for these films.

Cheese is hella good though, The7. What's your name refer to, just curious, is it supposed to be "They" or a reference to the book The List of Seven (doubt it, and if any book should get adopted to a movie this is one to do I say as an aside).

Yeah, Bryce and Joqian were the only redeeming factors in The Village. I liked her as Gwen Stacy too. Better than Clare, who I don't have a problem with.

And since, this is another Terminator board I'll ask the question again. How was John born in the first place if he sent his friend into the past who ended up being the one that impregnated his mom? Hmm. Nevertheless, aside form T3, the Terminators are some of my favorite Sci-Fi movies. Hell, instead of another Aliens versus Predator movie I think we should see a movie with Robocop and Terminators. Dumbish idea but it made an interesting comic, if not for it being kind written dumb. God, today I'm getting all off topic.

Didn’t they change to title to this? Thought it was called The Future Will Be Here In Just A Minute or something.

Title and McG aside (Don’t hate him. Just seems like an odd choice for this franchise) I like how this is shaping up. I’m really interested in seeing if this will all tie in to the TV series. It would be really cool, if done well, to have these two different mediums compliment each other running concurrently. Stuff from the series set in the past paying off in the movies set in the future and vice versa (there is a lot of time traveling!).

THE7’s name is a reference to video game Turner and Hooch… I mean Kane and Lynch. I’ve played a little of it but not all the way. Pretty good violent crime thing. The title characters escape from jail and one of them (not sure if it’s Kane or Turner) was a member of some elite mercenary criminals called THE7 who are looking for some money that was hidden… or something like that… which requires a lot of bloody gunfights. I recommend it. I also recommend turning Bubba Ho-Tep into a first person shooter so maybe someone else should chime in.

BDH is a pretty good actress, I'm just not sure she can dirty up enough for this movie. She's a bit squeaky clean for a post-apocalyptic movie.
