Bubblegum Crisis 2040 Vol. #4

Release Date: February 13, 2001

The Review!
And so begins the revelations of the Knight Sabers and the Boomer technology in this tell all disc of Bubblegum Crisis 2040. Here we find out more about the secrets Sylia is hiding and the reasons of Mason's mysterious agenda.

And so we start of with Sylia meeting an old acquaintance of her father, who has been living in secrecy. In it she ask for his help to remove the problem that started it all 10 years ago, the thing called Galatea. While at the same time, Nene unravels more secrets of Sylia's past.

On the next episode, the search continues. And when the Knight Sabers found what they were looking for, Sylia made sure that none of the other girls find out more about the thing they are looking for, and decides to finish the job herself. Of course nothing goes right and soon, secrets are revealed, and the thing called Galatea is released to the unsuspecting world.

The next 2 episodes reveal a whole lot about the Knight Sabers, the Boomer technology and how it all relates back to Sylia, Mackey and Galatea.

Like the title of this disc, all the buried secrets are reveal at last. Normally I would have thought that all these secrets are reveal at the somewhere later on during the series, but it's place somewhere in the middle. This of course opens more opportunities for other revelations.

The quality of the animation and the transfer is still top-notch as always.

Audio too is the same. All 3 language tracks sounding excellent.

Extras as usual come with 3 vehicle descriptions and some trailers.

The dub is excellent also. Nothing for me to complain. The most hilarious bits I found in the dub, is when Nene is talking with the weasel "I think you are screwed". Even the Japanese version doesn't beat that.

There isn't much action in this disc, but that is made up with more revelations. The next disc will have more action and we will see the new suits too!
