BUFFY, ANGEL Earn Big Ratings

Tuesday night's season debuts of
Buffy the Vampire Slayer and
Angel pulled in big ratings for the WB Network. The 5.8 million viewers that
Buffy averaged surpassed last year's season average of 4.7 million. Meanwhile,
Angel did a little bit better than the series it spun-off from, averaging 6.1 million in the 9-10 p.m. time-slot. In the New York market, the
