BUFFY, ANGEL Earn Big Ratings
Date: Thursday, September 28, 2000Tuesday night's season debuts of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel pulled in big ratings for the WB Network. The 5.8 million viewers that Buffy averaged surpassed last year's season average of 4.7 million. Meanwhile, Angel did a little bit better than the series it spun-off from, averaging 6.1 million in the 9-10 p.m. time-slot. In the New York market, the Buffy-Angel combo finished second in the ratings behind NBC's Olympics coverage.--The Hollywood Reporter
