It's a good time to be a BUFFY: THE VAMPIRE SLAYER fan. The BUFFY spin-off, ANGEL, kicked off its third season this week on The WB, while the original BUFFY episodes have begun syndication on the F/X channel (isn't that baby fat on the first season Ms. Gellar just adorable?). Of course, BUFFY's new home, the UPN network, premieres the show's new season next weekand resurrects everyone's favorite slayer to boot!
Well, here's more reason to celebrate. DVDFILE.COM is reporting that Ms. Summers is finally coming to DVD in the United States. On January 15th, BUFFY: THE VAMPIRE SLAYERTHE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON will be released on disc to a bloodthirsty public. The episodes will be presented in full frame with 2.0 Dolby Surround audio, along with an audio commentary by creator Joss Whedon on the first episode, "Welcome to the Hellmouth." Whedon will also provide three interviews on six episodes, plus there will be a talk with Whedon and David Boreanaz, a trailer, the original pilot script, a photo gallery, bios, and DVD-ROM features.
The three-disc set will retail for $39.95. Now that's something to sink your teeth into!
