Welcome to the Countdown where servings also come in half orders. This week I am fairly surprised on how many games are coming out, further showing the industry is jumping out of the slump that games have sunk into recently. Lately though I have continued trying to raise my achievement points, and recently with the help of a game called Gun, I made it to over 5000. Well I am half way there to the top achievement level for the Microsoft contest... If it ever comes to Canada. Feel free to post at the end if you enrolled yourself in the program, and how close you are to making it. Enough with the chit chat, it is time to get to the show.

Major League Baseball 2K7 (PS2 - PSP - X-Box 360 - PS3) - Welcome to another year of baseball, but this time it is on the PS3 as well. Congratulations are in order for sticking around this long.

MLB 07: The Show (PS2 - PSP) - Another baseball game this week? Most interesting.

Samurai Warriors 2 Empires (PS2 - X-Box 360) - With a follow-up to the original Samurai Warriors game, now you can do much more of the same in different locations. Japan is divided into 25 different states and it is your job to reunite them all under your control by raising an army.

F1 (PS3) - Gearing up with an exclusive on their PS3 system, Sony has a Formula One game. It should be fairly pretty for those that enjoy the sport, though I am personally interested in how many people wish to buy this game.

300: March To Glory (PSP) - If you are excited about the movie, which I am sure a lot of people are, you may just be excited about the game as well. This action based combat game allows you to fight solo or beside fellow Spartans to get the job done. It is a movie game though… So caveat emptor.

Marvel Trading Card Game (PSP) - If the title confused you, this is a Marvel card game for the PSP. At least the games make it a little less expensive to own the top tier cards. Of coruse it should allow you to battle it against other PSP owners, if you can find them, but they will probably need a copy of the game too.

Bullet Witch (X-Box 360) - Set in the year of 2013, and mankind is on the verge of extinction after a battle against demons. You play as Alica, probably humanity's best last chance to save the world. How you do it though involves using a giant gun to rain crimson justice on all those that oppose. Since I have enjoyed what I have seen so far, I will give this game the nod for Game of the Week.

Dance Dance Revolution: Universe (X-Box 360) - We can dance if we want to. We can leave your friends behind. For if they do not dance, and if they do not dance, well they are no friends of mine. Mainly the game will be the X-Box 360 adaptation that will have people sweating to some oldies, and some goodies.

Jade Empire (PC) - The game was originally released on the X-Box, and it took a few years for it to be ported to the PC. If PC users enjoy fighting games, but do not have an X-Box, this may be the perfect game for you. It is quite fun, but at the same time a little old. With Epic wishing to release Gears of War on the PC, should we assume that it will take just as long as this game did, or perhaps even longer than Halo 2?

Sims 2: Seasons (PC) - With another expansion to the ever-popular Sims 2 game now you can enjoy the game with many different seasons. With all the expansions that come out, I wonder how much content these things add.

SSX Blur (Wii) - Do you like Snowboarding? Do you like the Wii? Do you enjoy gimmicky controlling of gimmicky characters that float around in the air doing tricks? This will be the game for you!

At least there were a few games for the X-Box 360 for achievements, but I wonder how hard it will to get a decent amount of points from them. It is funny how addicting it can be to raise your score, but I am sure that I will soon get over it... After I hit 10,000. Anyways thank you for tuning in, and this is Captain Gordon signing off.
