"Burning Crusade" Sells 2.4 Million in 24 Hours

According to a Blizzard press release, the World of Warcraft add-on, Burning Crusade, has become the fastest selling PC game ever.

The game sold 1.2 million copies in the USA and over 1.1 million throughout Europe. WOW has 8 million subscribers worldwide including 2 million in the USA alone.

One French player reportedly hit the new level cap of 70 within 28 hours of the game going live. The previous cap was 60.

KJ's Take: My roommate plays the game. The graphics and game play look outstanding and it takes every ounce of will-power I have not to run out and buy it.

No one makes games like Blizzard does. No one.

Wil Wright makes better games. :-p And there is a real world people, and you can make real friends and buy real things have have real sex. Well people who play it might not get any sex, but you can use the $15 a month and $40 expansion pack to buy a hooker.

Or you can be like me. Be dating the girl you are playing with in real life and teamed up with close friends/family and some married friends with healthy lives outside of the game. We're keeping it under control so as to not interfere with our school/work/church lives. It only eats up a few late nights and some Saturdays. (Hence it's taken me almost 8 months to get to level 56). :D

Well It's either go to school and get an education and then go to work in order to make a living and put a roof over your head which all leads to the oppertunity of playing the best game ever made(my apinion) or you can just playthe game 24/7 until your job gives you the boot and the land lady hands you the eviction...I have gone the way of BROWBEAT except I am lvl 35 warrior and it has taken me 8 months to get there...By the way if any of you guys want to get together and do some killing, my one and only characters name is LAFORCER...Oh, by the way can anyone tell me how to get to the HIDDEN KEY! I can't seem to get to where the arrow in my mini map is directing me...I have not gone and bought burning crusades yet but I think there realy is no need at this time because I still have this huge world with alot of undiscovered country left to me, maybe a yeasr from now when I get to lvl 70...
