All the actors were great in this, especially Cavill and Faora, but the rest was questionable. Why did he take the fight from farmland into the centre of Smallville instead of further away from people. Why did Superman let Zod's henchment pick him up and fly away when he should have been pressing his advantage? How did he and Zod fly up into space and still land back in Metropolis? How did Lois get to Clark and Zod's final fight so quickly?

I hope they spend longer than 30 minutes working out the plot for the next one, Superman deserves better.

I hope the prices go down some by the time it comes out , I thought it was a rather good movie , it moved though the back story in flashbacks was great . All fantasy an action movies  have plot holes ,all because you must use your imagination as a kid to love them . I look forward for the BluRay.

IF you go back and watch the movie Supes had to stay with them. They were there to destroy smallville and army. He flies away and then they keep blowing town up. Smart! Same thing with Metropolis. Zod was going to kill people to spite him anyways so again if Supes flies away he would just destroyed Metropolis. Again genius logic. I know a couple things could have been done differently by Supes but mostly he stayed around because they were already fighting humans and such. I saw a different movie than you guys I guess. It was also a learning curve for him since he had never fought like throwing them around and smashing a building was like oops to hard, It was a fight he was pulled into. Thats the way I saw it.

Not seen it in the cinema as it has been a busy year so far. Is this the final version for now or is there any rumours of a Director's Cut.

I would also like to know if there will be a Director's Cut.

Umm, Superman dragged zod into the middle of smallville. It was there he beat Zod, and then his henchmen picked Zod up and fled while he watched. They were at the farm to find the ship, not to trash the town.

Saying that, I did enjoy most of the movie which didn't involve fighting as that was most of the stupid parts.

eh just my opinion. But I think this is the closest anyone has gotten to the film version of what the original superman was like. I can't take away that someone would've like to of seen more dialogue as opposed to fighting and action. If it was there to take place of the action, then it wouldn't of mattered that much to me, The film would have still been good. My personal favorite this summer, as I am indeed a DC fan; also a fan of Goyer/Nolan/Snyder (even before any of them were attached to these characters). At least no one is complaining about the death scene at the end yet. I'm sorry, but Superman DOES kill. Not often, but it has been done. He is not Batman.

I think in the next film, (depending on how it goes) maybe in mid credits, they should have Batman talking to Superman about "The fastest man on the planet" Batman jokingly asks Supes, "You think you can keep up with him?" Superman laughs, pats Batsy on the should then takes off into the sky.

Then you could show a blur racing across the planet (like the Flash is in his beginning days and having 'FUN' with his ability) with Superman actually kind of 'struggling' to keep up (as in he gets close, but can never catch him) They run through amazons, across mountain ranges, small towns, etc. Superman backs off, Allen actually slows down, kinda of routing to himself as he has escaped the grasp of the Man of Steel. until *WACK* All the sudden Barry is at a complete stop, now within the grip of Superman. You could add an effect to the Flash while he is in Supermans hand (like a blurring void effect while Allen is trying to get away from his hold) Maybe Allen says, "No, your arm should have been torn off.. I'm the fastest thing on the planet Superman." Superman says nothing as the sound of a plane/ship is heard over head. It's the new BatWing. The ship drops a pod. the seal opens and from out of the pod Batman emerges. Superman could say "You have a hard time keeping up?" Batman says nothing, telling him everything about the man they were chasing "He is Barry Allen blah blah blah etc... This device I have can keep him still until we have our talk with him." Superman says "I got him."

I haven't thought of anything else yet.. but let your imagination take it from there.
