According to Sci Fi Wire, Nicolas Cage and Eva Mendes are both ready and willing to make a sequel to the upcoming film, Ghost Rider, should the studio ask.

Sci Fi Wire writes:

"It depends upon the reaction from the movie-going audiences," Cage said. "If they are enthusiastic about it and if there is a good script. I would say of all the characters I've played, my interests coincide with where this particular character could go. I am interested in the metaphysical nature of Ghost Rider and his world. I am a man with an open mind. I really don't know anything, but I'm very interested in the spiritual and the material. And this is the one superhero who walks between both worlds. I think it's pretty exciting, because he's new, and there is a lot of room for adventure with this guy."

Co-star Eva Mendes, meanwhile, said that she isn't sure if she has signed an agreement to be in a sequel yet, but added that she's on board if it happens.

KJ's Take:  Seems everyone will jump on board if this film does well at the box office.  Which makes it up to all of you NOT to go see the film!  Oh come on, you know it's going to be total crap and I'll gladly eat crow if it isn't.

"Oh come on, you know it's going to be total crap"

Why would we "know" it's going to be crap? The trailer looks good. It's from the director of Daredevil. Those two elements bode well for the film. I'll be there opening day.

narpin, you just say the magic word...From the director of dardevil. The worst super hero movie so far....!!!!! Everything was crap, the cast, Colin as Bulleyes !!!come one ! the story, the pictures, and of course the main cast....Dardevil himself. Ben should watch sens of woman to learn how to play blind people.....All the magic of Franck Miller was gone..Shame !

exfan, Daredevil was excellent. It was just as god as the first Spider-Man and X-Men movies, and the director's cut was even beter still.

ok, I respect your opinion but I do not agree. I am comics fan, I have see most of the superhero, and for me, and you will see lot of peoples join me later i guess, it s the worst ! And i don t see any aspect to compare with the magic of Sam raimi !

exfan..You hit the hammer on the nail..My opinion is the same as yours....

It will never happen.

And as for your arguement, I side with exfan, although I don't think Daredevil was horrible it just wasn't good, and no where near Spidey.

As for why I think this will be crap, is because the movie is not prereleased to critics. Allways a bad sign. I doubt I'll even go and see it. Maybe rent though.

I SO want this movie to be good... so I'll be in the theater with my fingers crossed. I won't argue with Exfan though, Daredevil was far from what could have been a truly excellent movie. Just chant the mantra that I do, "Spiderman 3 this summer, Spiderman 3 this summer....."

I think they should hold off on sequel talk til after the release. Just a thought. Haley Barry said she would love to do a Catwoman sequel and look at that.

Daredevil was definitely not the "worst super hero movie so far" Catwoman was by far the worst superhero movie ever. Daredevil wasn't as bad as everyone thinks it was and the directors cut on dvd is way better than the theatrical release.
And K.J. I will defend your "take`s" but that last one is just plain ignorant. You have no idea how bad or well this movie is going to be. We don`t know its going to be crap because we haven`t seen it yet. How about you give an opinion after you have seen it? Or are you going to do a Renderman72 and just not bother but tell everyone is sucks?
It is though, a little too early for sequel talk. I would have waited at least until it was released and see what the public thinks. Honestly I don`t think that it will do all that well at the Box Office. Not because of the quality of the flick, but because not many people know about the Ghost Rider or even care. This is a movie solely for comic fans. It most likely will not appeal to the broader masses.

Ponyboy was correct, I think that ghost rider will suck cause it looks corny and the effects in the trailer look like something out of the Sci-fi original films...
