IGN FilmForce has a few words with James Cameron and some pics to boot. Cameron wants to spin moviegoer expectations for the SF flick SOLARIS, a remake of the 1972 slo-mo classic by Tarkovsky. Both films are based on a novel by Polish SF author Stanislaw Lem.
"This movie is not an action film and people need to know that going in. This is science fiction the way science fiction used to be back in the Fifties and Sixties when it was a fiction of ideas, a fiction of people," says Cameron, the executive producer of the film.
SOLARIS opens November 27, was directed by Steven Soderbergh, and stars George Clooney and Natascha McElhone.
