Canyon Country

There isn't much anger that visibly bursts through the surface when talking with revered author and filmmaker Clive Barker. He's a soft-spoken Brit edging up onto his 49th birthday who has penned 21 very diverse books (running the gamut of fantasy, horror and even a children's tome), delivered two bona fide classic film franchises (HELLRAISER, CANDYMAN) and garnered critical acclaim by producing the art house hit GODS AND MONSTERS. We won't even mention the countless paintings, the "Tortured Souls" toy line and the interactive game UNDYING which also fill up his resume.

So with someone getting to contribute so much to the industry, why is he so angry?

The anger in question is the rage bubbling below the surface of his new novel COLDHEART CANYON, which is set in modern-day Hollywood. It follows a popular film star who is the victim of a botched plastic surgery operation one that forces him to go into hiding in the Hollywood Hills to nurse his wounds.
