Capcom's Gamer's Day event has officially closed in London and the embargoes (for press coverage) on providing news for it ended this morning. On Monday, we heard that BIONIC COMMANDO was returning to this generation of consoles after taking 20 years off. When Wednesday rolled around, Capcom unvieled a STREET FIGHTER IV being in development as well. After that, the press has been ordered to stay silent until today so nothing else came down the wires.
Until now...Here's the details:
OKAMI Getting Ported to the Wii:
Capcom and the developers Ready at Dawn (Daxter, God of War: Chains of Olympus) are teaming up to bring the OKAMI Rpg to the Wii. Initially, it was a PS2 exclusive but this was in the waning days right before the release of PS3. As such, they looked towards bringing the widely popular game to more western markets. At the Game Developers Conference in March, Christian Svensson--Capcom's Senior Director of Research & Planning--met up with RAD executives who complimented Capcom on the PS2 title. Within a week, Capcom made an offer to RAD to port this game to the Wii.
Release: Both parties are looking for a Spring 2008 release.
New Sci-fi/Fantasy IP called "Dark Void" Announced for PS3/Xbox360:
And possibly the PC depending on future announcements from Capcom. The game is a brand new original IP and very possibly a new franchise of games focusing on the world of Sci-Fi & Fantasy. A sneak peek was presented at the Gamer's Day which I'll put below courtesy of Gamevideos.com. Capcom has Airtight Games--founded by elements of the Crimson Skies company and former Microsoft VP Ed Fries-- working on the production of this new title. From the looks of the trailer, it's a new 3rd person action/shooter with sci-fi elements. The main character also has a jetpack for those tricky zero gravity situations.
Plot Concept: Game centers on "Watchers" and their former subservients, the "Adepts", humans that have developed special powers. The Adepts banished the Watchers from Earth but it doesn't seem to have worked. It seems this first game of a possible franchise will center on the Watchers invading Earth again...
Release: They're shooting for a Winter 2008 release but as always that's subject to change.

LOST PLANET Is Getting Ported to PS3:
The original IP developed for the Xbox360 and PC is getting ported to the PS3 in early 2008.

New RESIDENT EVIL: UMBRELLA CHRONICLES TRAILER:
A new trailer was released for the upcoming Wii exclusive RE:UC at the Gamer's Day event. This game hits the Wii next month and it focuses on some of Albert Wesker's history along with other RE characters.

New DEVIL MAY CRY 4 Trailer:
A new trailer for DEVIL MAY CRY 4, a game which hits both PS3 and Xbox360, was also released at the event. The story features Nero as he comes to terms with his newfound powers and sets out on the hunt for the murderer of the Holy Knights.

New Capcom DLC for the Marketplace/PSN Announced:
-Talisman: Available on both MS and Sony systems & PC in April 2008.
-Rocketmen:Axis of Evil: Available on both MS and Sony systems this holiday season. Price tag is 800 MS Points or $9.99.
-Commando 3: Available on both MS and Sony systems in December. Price tag is 800 MS Points or $9.99.
-Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix: Capcom is estimated it being available for both the Marketplace and PSN in the first quarter of 2008.
