The official cancellation was released yesterday. The last episode will only be shown online sometime this month. Mania can do it's own news digging for a change.

Due to low ratings, The Cape’s episode count was reduced from 12 to 9, which comes as no surprise, given how bad it is. It’s unclear if this show will be back for a second season. It’s also unclear if this is the season finale or the series finale (probably the series finale, odds are) as The Event (another show that’s a Lost wannabe going nowhere fast) returns next week in The Cape’s timeslot after being off the air since before Christmas.
The thing about this show is that you had actors like David Lyons, Keith David, and Summer Glau who were really trying to get this show to work. However, it was weighed down by bad writing, not to mention more cheese than a bowl of French onion soup.
Some many things left unresolved… What is Chess’ big secret that he’s keeping from Peter Frain, his other personality? Is Chess (or Peter, for that matter)) really Orwell’s father? Will Orwell ever recover from the trauma she endured at the Lich’s hands? Does Vince Farraday clear his name? Does someone else become the Cape? Does Vince reunite with his beloved wife Dana and his son Trip?
Does anyone really care?

I wasn't a loyal watcher but I was enjoying the show myself. But I guess not many people do care since this is the first comment. IMO is too bad that the show won't last, I was digging it way more than Heroes. I thought it played a lot like a comic book
