Avengers all the way. I agree with all the points, made by Eilbaz. Avengers will own TDKR. And I for one can't wait.

Ditto that nightwing, I too agree with ElBaz. Even if TDKR makes more bank I believe the AVENGERS will be the one true comic book AWEPICSOME film of the year maybe the decade. Batman right now is no more than a simple crime drama to me without many of the aspects of the Batman comics that drew me to the comics

Kadet, I for one I'm thrilled at the prospect of what's being rumored. But I do hope and believe that there will be a THOR/HULK slugfest

samsom, so why do you come to threads with spoiler content if you don't to see spoilers. It just doesn't make any sense at all unless you want to read spoilers and then bitch about about it.

Actually ElBaz, Trial of the Incredible Hulk had Daredevil in it while the first Hulk t.v. movie, Return of the Incredible Hulk, had Thor.  Fun movies for sure.  Cheesy but fun.  Hulk has always been my favorite comic.  Its too bad a Hulk movie doesn't come off any better than what its potential could be, given the material.  Here's hoping that in a movie with more characters, where he isn't the main focus, he will have a chance to shine.

Sorry, The Incredible Hulk Returns

Fangirls aside, the problem with this mix up is the director.  The other individual character movies had very good directors who all brought their own distinctive flair to each character.  Now that not one of those directors are running the show, it's going to be difficult to merge them all together and maintain that feel for the characters that you had after watching their own movies.

A few explosions and spoilers cant show you that.  I hope it works but Im not totally convinced by the director in charge.

My bad. Got the Hulk TV movies mixed up. I have the DVD (yes...I own it thanks to a $5 Walmart cheap bin) and both Trial and Return are on it.

As for the director, I have no problems with Whedon and that's coming from a guy who never really liked the Buffy/Angel series. But, I was a fan of Firefly and Serenity was a very good sci-fi action flick with an ensemble cast. Whedon is also a comicbook fanboy and will definitely pay respect to all the characters. This is not Bryan Singer or Pitof. Besides, a lot of fanboys (or fangirls, as you put it) were skeptical of Favreau, Branagh and Johnston. That turned out pretty good if you ask me.

Avengers Assemble!

That was my point.  It was their direction of those actors and "characters" that worked so well.  I wasn't against any of them, especially Branagh who got a lot of raised eyebrows when he was announced.  Thor turned out to be an absolute gem under his wing.  It would have been nice as well if they had signed up Norton but him pulling out early doors I took as a problem.  I'm sure the rest will carry it to a good summer popcorn movie but I'm not pinning my hopes on anything more than that, otherwise it will just be a dissappoinment and a huge ball dropped.  I'm hoping not though.

So far, I'm liking the old costume better. It's certainly faithful enough, but it looks silly. Hopefully it'll look better on camera. Thank god his ears aren't poking out though. That's a plus.

yeah Chris Evans owns cap!

wiseguy1 8/19/2011 1:07:45 PM

Wow it looks just like the dump I took after eating some Mexican dinner.
