Here's a friendly note for those living in or around the Los Angeles area who may want to get a closer look at Captain America's iconic shield. A month after it was reported that some re-shoots were planned at U.K. locations for Captain America, On Location Vacations reports a re-shoot is also planned in the Los Angeles area tomorrow afternoon. There's also a chance that cast and crew for The Avengers will be nearby according to the website. Check it out here for details on the time and place of the re-shoots.
The re-shoots shouldn't be a worry for fans as they were likely scheduled by the studio and director Joe Johnston far in advance. The summer tentpole stars Chris Evans, Hayley Atwell, Hugo Weaving, Sebastian Stan, Toby Jones, Samuel L. Jackson, Dominic Cooper, Tommy Lee Jones, Stanley Tucci, Neal McDonough and Derek Luke. Johnston led the direction, based on a screenplay by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.
Plot Concept: "Captain America: The First Avenger" will focus on the early days of the Marvel Universe when Steve Rogers volunteers to participate in an experimental program that turns him into the Super Soldier known as Captain America.
Captain America will hit 3D/2D theaters July 22, 2011.
Some are suggesting that it could just be the cameo for Stan Lee as well, ddiaz. Either way, it was scheduled and gives readers in the Los Angeles area an excuse to take an early Friday off work and go see for themselves. Of course, security will likely be hell but one never knows how sneaky a Maniac can be. :)

Jarrod, the flyer says tomorrow is prep day and Saturday is filming. So I might try to head out there on Saturday (I only live about 50 miles east of downtown L.A.) and see what I can see. So, standby for an email from me Saturday night. ;)
InnerSanctum, LOTS of people work in L.A. Who do you think mows the actos lawns, drives the producers cars, and cleans the production studios toilets? (answer: illegal aliens. It's why the mayor of L.A. and all of Hollywood is against closing the border. The mayor would lose all his votes, and Hollywood would lose all of its legitimate working staff.)
