Marvel and Disney love to wet our appetite for their upcoming home releases. Since Captain America: The Winter Solider arrives on HD Digital August 19th and on Blu-ray September 9th, which almost feels like an eternity, the studios have released the first special feature. Here is the Blooper Reel (at the bottom) packed with laughs and smiles, until the next special feature arrives.
Press Release: From the studio that brought you the biggest Super Hero movie of all time, Marvel’s The Avengers, comes this year’s #1 live-action adventure, Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier, available early on Digital 3D and HD August 19th, 2014, and on 3D Blu-ray Combo Pack, Blu-ray, DVD and On-Demand September 9th, 2014, from Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment. Saluted by critics as “action-packed” (NY Daily News), “thrilling” (Cinema Blend) and “better than The Avengers” (Access Hollywood), this blockbuster second chapter in the Captain America series teams Marvel’s First Avenger, Captain America, with Black Widow and new ally The Falcon as they battle their most mysterious and powerful enemy yet, the Winter Soldier.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo from a screenplay by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely and starring Chris Evans as Captain America, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Sebastian Stan as The Winter Soldier, Anthony Mackie as The Falcon, with Robert Redford as Alexander Pierce and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier arrives on 3D Blu-ray Combo Pack and Digital HD armed with explosively entertaining bonus features, including Making-of Featurettes, Audio Commentary, Never-Before-Seen Deleted Scenes, Bloopers and More…
UPDATE: Marvel Entertainment has now released two new deleted scenes from the film.
Deleted Scene #1: Maria Hill talks about loyalty to Jasper Sitwell.

Deleted Scene #2: Watch S.H.I.E.L.D. attempt to pursue "justice".

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAnd Warner Brothers just lost the game of Chicken on May 6, 2016...they moved Superman v Batman to March 25.  Such confidence in the movie is stunning...

Not a bad movie...a little like The Bourne Identity meets Person of Interest with flying aircraft carriers thrown in for effect.  It actually had a couple of moments of prolonged dialogue / conversation which carried a smidgen of societal and political relevance thrown in, that are sure to make young viewers fidget (they can multi task through it , while you are watching on TV, until the action returns).  Unlike Thor 2 which was a convoluted mess this actually had a theme about relinquishing freedoms in order to feel safe that I could follow (of course the movie delivers their opinions on this subject with absurd sledgehammer comic book subtlety). I won't buy this DVD or Blu-Ray (buying disks is so a couple of years ago) but like the first Ironman movie, I could see myself watching this one again which is more than I can say for most (one and done) silly Super Hero flicks.
