This time we get to dive deeper into the Falcon's (Anthony Mackie) character in the third featurette from Marvel's Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Will The Falcon emerge in the red and white for Avengers: Age of Ultron?
Synopsis: Captain America: The Winter Soldier will pick-up where “Marvel’s The Avengers” left off, as Steve Rogers struggles to embrace his role in the modern world and teams up with Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, to battle a powerful yet shadowy enemy in present-day Washington, D.C.
Based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series, first published in 1941, Marvel’s “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” features an outstanding supporting cast that includes Sebastian Stan (“Captain America: The First Avenger,” “Black Swan”) as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Anthony Mackie (“The Hurt Locker,” “Million Dollar Baby”) as Sam Wilson/Falcon, Cobie Smulders (“Marvel’s The Avengers,” “How I Met Your Mother”) as Agent Maria Hill, Frank Grillo (“Zero Dark Thirty”) as Brock Rumlow and Georges St-Pierre (“Death Warrior”) as Georges Batroc. Rounding out the talented cast are Hayley Atwell (“Captain America: The First Avenger”) as Peggy Carter, Toby Jones (“Captain America: The First Avenger,” “The Hunger Games”) as Arnim Zola, Emily VanCamp (“The Ring 2,” “Revenge”) as Agent 13 and Maximiliano Hernández (“Marvel’s The Avengers,” “Thor”) as Agent Jasper Sitwell.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier is set for release in the U.S. on April 4, 2014.

I love the Falcon already

What I want to know is why did they get a black guy to play the falcoln?

I  think Anthony Mackie really hit the nail on the head when he said it was not a hero movie but a character-driven action movie.
This specifically is why I  think that Marvel has been so successful with their lineup so far. They aren't approaching this from the traditional superhero standpoint, but showing the person behind the mask in a way that, even if it doesn't make the relatable, helps you understand their motivation and inner struggles.

Which is really why comic books have the fan base they do. I didn't read Spidey because he was slinging around the Vulture or Sandman, but because of how he was portrayed under and without his mask.

I am super jealous of my 13 year old daughter. Because all of the schools in our city participate in things that help others i.e. clothing drives, food bank collections and other stuff Captain America Winter Soldier is having a promotion to connect with real heros. So they held draws and children from the various schools got to see the movie last Thursday and Skype with all the cast members from the movie. Including Samual L. Jackson, Chris Evans, and Scarlett Johansson. She came away with a bunch of swag and was interviewed on some hollywood entertainment thing that will be launched after the movie officialy openes. I didn't ask my daughter about the movie details, as she signed a non-disclosure agreement and I want to be surprised when I go to see it, but she did say that it was awesome and she liked it better than the first one.

kelso, oh, my mistake, well then he should definitely be played by a black guy, so I'm guessing the human torch, perry white, electro, iris west, pete ross and alicia masters have also always been black?
