Captain Power was fun to watch back in the day.  Too bad it was only on for a season.  This show needs to be revived for today's audience with a much darker approach even though it was fairly edgy in its time.

 I was just talking about this series to some friends the other week.  I loved this show.  It was amazing and one of my favorite memories when I was younger of shows to watch.  It was one of the few shows I was exposed to losing one of the good guys with Pilot.  

I agree with Raithmanan - This show is one that definatly calls for an update.  Its scary to think what they can do with the technology used for television right now.  

 Went to the autogrpah sigining in Burbank last night. Talked with J. Michael Starcynski, he thanked me for the review. There were definetly rumblings of relaunch from the creator and crew. 

Why does everything need to be "darker" now days?  It's intended for children and preteens, they don't need everything to be dark and full of doom and gloom all the time.   A new version should stay true to it's roots...edgy but FUN.

Actually Ultrazilla the show was more mature but was meant to entertain both demographics, but it was the dark tones of the show that gathered complaints, not to mention lousy time slots that ultimately was its downfall in the first place because it was deemed too violent and over the heads of children.  I think that part is where the show seemed to shift focus as it tried too hard to appease the more mature audience. 

Plus you need to consider that there was a fair amount of profanity during the show that nearly most people tend to forget when we watched it back then, but at that time it was tolerable when it wasn't under a lot of scrutiny like it is in this day and age.  More like the bad rap Robotech got here stateside because it was aimed at kids but was adult material with adult themes that parents felt wasn't kid-friendly.  Personally I call it bad parenting because parents are already lazy. 

 Has got to be a west-coast thing.  I never heard of this.  But sounds pretty cool.

 Just looked it up on Youtube, the description is cool, unfortunately it is a victim of it's time (has 80's cheese all over it), kinda looks like an high-production commercial for a video game from back in the day.

Relaunch would rock! I remember this show vividly!

 Deffinatly not a west coast thing.  I'm in Toronto and we got it.  Even witht he cheese it was a great show.

 I grew up on the East coast and saw it every Saturday monring. On the DVD the producer said it beat STTNG in syndiaction in the Boston Market. ~ Robert
