Despite a recent production location change from Chicago to Pittsburgh for Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises, the fictional city of Gotham lives on and genre fans will see its top politician return in the fast-tracking third installment. Variety reports that Nestor Carbonell ("LOST", The Dark Knight) has been officially set to reprise the role of the Mayor of Gotham. The trade also reports that Diego Klattenhoff and Burn Gorman are also being eyed for supporting roles as well.
The three would be joining Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Juno Temple, Josh Pence and Daniel Sunjata. Christopher Nolan returns to wrap up his trilogy, based on a screenplay by David Goyer and Jonathan Nolan.
Plot details are being kept under wraps for now.
The Dark Knight Rises swoops into theaters July 20, 2012.

CrazyCEO: Whether or not Nestor is in this movie will have no affect on continuity either way. Rutger Hauer never returned for The Dark Knight and that made no difference in continuity. And go easy on James Cameron. For being such a hated director by most of you, he sure does a helluva job at making these mega-blockbusters.

Hanso's issue (like some others) is that we're having issues with cellphone app/comments, Wiseguy. The issue will hopefully be resolved soon enough but you can still tell Hanso that he should at least have a PC or laptop if he really wants to annoy us on a daily basis. It shouldn't all be by way of an Android or iPhone. :)
