Cards Inc. snags HARRY POTTER licensing agreement

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. has signed a multi-year licensing agreement with The Cards Inc. Group to create toys and collectibles for it's HARRY POTTER property.

The Cards Inc. Group will create toys and collectibles inspired by the creatures, characters and themes from the various HARRY POTTER stories. The first products under the agreement will be based on the latest HARRY POTTER feature film installment, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, and will launch in conjunction with the film, which is due in theaters July 2007.

The Cards Inc. Group's range of product offerings will include a wide selection of role-play action figures, action figure collector and box sets, Magical Creatures collector action figures, electronic role play sets, die-cast and remote-controlled vehicles and playsets.

That's cool. It'll be nice to see some avction figures again, since as far as I know, none were made for Goblet of Fire. Speaking of Cards Inc., they had a prototype for a Peter Sellers Clouseau 12" clothed figure that was pretty cool (well, his hat looked a bit off). It's a shame it never went into production. They only made the bobble-head.
