Plot Detail Inside...Thespian Carly Pope will be joining the cast of the Fox thriller 24, says Hollywood Reporter. The actress, who recently did a stint on FX's DIRT, will be added as a girlfriend to the son of the newly sworn in President portrayed by Cherry Jones (Signs). She may also have had a hand in his disappearance, reports the trade. As has already been reported, the seventh season of the show is set in Washington, not Los Angeles.
New additions are Cherry Jones as President, Colm Feore as First Man, John Billingsley (Enterprise), Jeffrey Nordling, Janeane Garofalo as a government investigator, Ever Carradine as an FBI Agent and Annie Wersching as another new recurring FBI agent for the show. Some returning characters for the first hour (7:00-8:00 am) of the new season are Keifer Sutherland as Jack Bauer, James Morrison as Bill Buchanan, Mary Lynn Rajskub as Chloe O'Brian, Rhys Coiro as Sean Hillinger, Bob Gunton as Ethan Kanin.
The show began production early last month and will be hitting the Fox network Sunday, January 13, 2008 at 8:00/7:00 CST.
24's Clock has been reset to 7:00 am for season 7.
